What is "Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS System (受付済証)"?

Foreign nationals, except for those for tourism purpose, are allowed for new entry into Japan under the responsibilities of receiving organizations from March 1 2022. New entry of foreign nationals from all countries and regions is in principle suspended except for those with “special exceptional circumstances”. Meanwhile, foreign nationals who apply for new entry into Japan based on "Foreign nationals newly entering Japan for a short-term stay (less than three months) for purposes including business and employment" are regarded as those with “special exceptional circumstances” and are allowed for new entry into Japan in principle, if the receiving organizations located in Japan completes prescribed application in the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS).

"Certificate for Completion of Registration to the ERFS System (受付済証)" is the certificate completed prescribed application in ERFS system.

The secretariat can send the certification to the following people:

• Authors of ACM ASIACCS 2022 main conference, including poster session
• Authors of ACM ASIACCS 2022 workshops
• Researchers or students of information security and/or privacy

Home quarantine period and other measures after entry into Japan

1. From designated countries/regions, Vaccination certificates: No
   -> 3-day quarantine at a specific facility designated by the chief of the quarantine station(+negative test result (PCR test) at the facility)
   • The chief of the quarantine station will provide the facility.
   • You cannot go out during staying the facility.
2. From designated countries/regions, Vaccination certificates: Yes
   -> 3-day home quarantine+ negative result of a voluntary test/ 7-day home quarantine without a test
   • Secretariat will book the accommodation during the three days for your quarantine. You have to pay the accommodation's fee in advance.
   • You cannot do "any nonessential and non-urgent outings". But, you can go out to buy your food or to go to hospital for PCR test.
3. From non-designated countries/regions, Vaccination certificates: No
   -> 3-day home quarantine+ negative result of a voluntary test/ 7-day home quarantine without a test
   • Secretariat will book the accommodation during the three days for your quarantine. You have to pay the accommodation's fee in advance.
   • You cannot do "any nonessential and non-urgent outings". But, you can go out to buy your food or to go to hospital for PCR test.
4. From non-designated countries/regions, Vaccination certificates: Yes
   -> Home quarantine and other measures are not required

If you are not "4. From non-designated countries/regions, Vaccination certificates: Yes", you have to be quarantined at leastthree days. The date of entering into Japan is excluded from "the three days" Model cases of entering into Japan are as below if you are quarantined for three days:

• 25 May: The date of entering into Japan
• 26 May: Day 1
• 27 May: Day 2
• 28 May: Day 3, (PCR test)
• 29 May: If the result is negative, you can go out.

• 21 May: The date of entering into Japan
• 22 May: Day 1
• 23 May: Day 2
• 24 May: Day 3
• 25 May: Day 4
• 26 May: Day 5
• 27 May: Day 6
• 28 May: Day 7
• 29 May: You can go out.

Note

• You have to pay the accommodation's fee for your quarantine and PCR test fee if you have to do "3-day home quarantine+ negative result of a voluntary test".
• You have to pay the accommodation's fee for your quarantine if you have to do "7-day home quarantine".
• You should pay your own expence for your food etc. during "3-day home quarantine negative result of a voluntary test/ 7-day home quarantine without a test". You can go out of the accommodation for buying your food and doing PCR test.
• If you have to do "3-day home quarantine+ negative result of a voluntary test/ 7-day home quarantine without a test", ACM ASIACCS 2022 decide your accommodation for your quarantin.
• You can change your accommodation after you have finished "3-day home quarantine+ negative result of a voluntary test/ 7-day home quarantine without a test".
